Dr. Greidanus joined Philips in 1982. On September 2005, he was appointed as Head of Philips Research Asia and Chief Technology Officer of Philips Asia. · 1982-1989: Member of the Scientific Staff of the Philips Research Laboratories in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. · 1989-1991: Head of the Materials Physics Department of the Philips Laboratories in Briarcliff Manor, USA. · 1991-2000: He held several department head positions in Philips Research Laboratories in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. · 2000-2005: Senior Vice President of Philips Research, Director of Sector Storage and International Research Program Manager of Storage Solutions. · 2005: Head of Philips Research Asia and Chief Technology Officer of Philips Asia. Dr. Greidanus is the author or co-author of 35 scientific papers and three patent applications. Born and grown up in The Hague, Dr. Greidanus went to Leiden University at the age of 18 to study Physics and got PhD of experimental physics in University of Leiden. His thesis work focused on magnetic properties of materials at ultra-low temperatures. Dr. Greidanus and his wife live in Shanghai. Dr. Greidanus has one daughter.
