Baker & McKenzie

David Cole is a member of the Firm's Corporate & Securities Practice. He co-heads the Firm's North America Cleantech Subgroup and serves as member of the Firm's North American Private Equity Subgroup. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, he served as in-house counsel for the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres and as an associate at a firm acting as outside counsel on NHL league matters. Mr. Cole helps private equity funds invest in, acquire and divest portfolio companies. He also represents borrowers and lenders in connection with senior credit facilities and mezzanine and other subordinate debt financing.

Practice Focus
Mr. Cole represents private and public companies in overseas and domestic business combination and corporate financial transactions, as well as raising capital through accessing US federal loan guarantees and other financial incentives. He has assisted companies in the acquisition and sale of businesses in the cleantech, renewable energy, information technology and motion picture industries. Additionally, Mr. Cole has closed private equity investments in natural resource extractors and ventured capital investments in the biotech industry.

Mr. Cole holds degrees from George Washington University (J.D. Trial Advocacy Honors) (1994) and the University of Rochester (B.A. cum laude) (1990)
