Jean-Pascal Tranié is an experienced manager who became a private equity investor fourteen years ago.
After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique, Jean-Pascal joined Veolia Energy during the early 90’s and held several executive positions including CEO of the German division.
He then managed Vivendi's Media and Multimedia divisions, and became CEO of the venture capital branch Viventures Partners which made 80+ investments under his supervision in the US, Europe, China and India.
In 2003, Jean-Pascal co-founded Aloe Private Equity, a private equity group focused on environment and renewable energy investments, with an emphasis on Greater China and India. He acted until end of 2007 as president of Greenko (clean energy in India) and sits today on the board of Longmen (coalbed methane in China), ATG (clean energy and waste water treatment), Alphapet (PET bottle recycling in India/SE Asia), etc. He received the Legion of Honour in 2009.
