Dr. W. Charlton (Chuck) Adams Jr., served as President of the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) in 2009-2010. He now serves the IEEE Board of Directors as Chair of Public Visibility and is currently a member of the Huawei Corporate Standards Office.

Nicholas Atkins
Georgieff Capital

Nicholas Atkins has over 20 years of corporate finance and private equity experience. He has successfully led a number of private equity transactions both as an advisor and principal (with 3i). He has also advised on a range of M&A and corporate finance transactions across various industry groups, including the technology sector whilst at SG Cowen, and now heads up Georgieff Capital’s clean technology advisory practice. Mr. Atkins has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He has dual British and US citizenship.

Mr. Atkins is External Partner of Intelligent Venture Capital, Board Observer at Tiger Optics LLC and a member of the European Advisory Board of the Cleantech Group LLC.

Dr. Peter Bachmann

Dr. Peter Bachmann is managing partner of the Munich office and head of the Noerr New Mobility Team.
He advises national and international companies especially in the energy industry as well as in the public sector. He acts mainly in licensing, planning and development procedures. His work ranges over specialised industrial areas such as energy efficiency and electro­mobility including the establishment of charging stations and infrastructure facilities for electrical vehicles.
He has considerable experience in legally implementing environmental requirements and the protection of nature and the landscape. This includes planning, permissions and realisation of major projects, emissions protection law, optimal environmental management and all other environmental law questions.

Carsten Bartholl

Carsten co-ordinates Taylor Wessing Germany's activities in the field of renewable energies, cleantech investments and carbon emissions reduction. He specialises in corporate structuring and M&A transactions, primarily in connection with renewable energy projects. His practice extends to all stages of project development from early-stage structuring through financing and share or asset deal exit transactions. His services include the ongoing consulting for clients regarding the supply and exploitation of their services and products.

Carsten studied law in Hamburg. Following his exams and two years professional research employment at Hamburg University he has worked as an attorney since 1996. He is a native German speaker, but is also fluent in English and French.

He has over twenty years of private equity investment experience in a range of buy-out, expansion and venture capital transactions. Alex has a BA in Classics from Oxford University.

Olivier Bordelanne
Senior Project Manager

Dr. Olivier BORDELANNE joined GDF SUEZ in 2007 to take the leadership of projects on Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV) and Biogas. These Research Programmes deal with (i) all the aspects of the NGV chain (fuel distribution, security and regulations, vehicles/engines optimisation, environmental aspects) ; (ii) all the aspects of biogas chain (from its production to its valorisations including biomethane valorisation as a fuel).
In parallel to these activities, Olivier contributes and manages the Exploratory Project on “Sustainable Mobility” of GDF SUEZ Research and Innovation Division, working not only on NGVs, but also on hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles, related infrastructures and services. Olivier is also involved in many working groups dealing with these subjects, whether internal GDF SUEZ working groups, whether national and international working groups.

Prior to joining GDF SUEZ, Olivier has worked in the hydrogen fields, initially for 3 years in a start-up company (Alterg) in France and then for more than 2 years in Scotland (ITI Energy) where he was in charge of a research programme on hydrogen storage.
Olivier’s previous experience also includes research on metal oxide coatings for Atofina Chemicals (TOTAL) in Pennsylvania, USA and research on hybrid organometallic/inorganic systems at the Condensed Matter Chemistry Institute of Bordeaux, France.

Olivier has a PhD and a MSc from the University of Bordeaux (France) and a Postgraduate Degree (DEA) in Physical Chemistry of Materials from the University of Metz (France).

Simon Bransfield-Garth

Simon has 25 years global experience building rapid growth, technology-based businesses in sectors including Semiconductor, Automotive and Mobile Phones. His career includes 7 years at Symbian, the phone OS maker, where he was a member of the Leadership Team and VP Global Marketing. Simon was founder of Myriad Solutions Ltd and was previously a Fellow at Cambridge University. He holds a BA and Ph.D in Engineering from St John’s College, Cambridge UK.

Amadeo Brenninkmeijer
Nycon Energy AG

Amadeo Brenninkmeijer is an entrepreneur and seed investor in several start-ups. In 2009 he founded Nycon Energy AG, an energy services company providing financing, consulting and operating of on-site co generation plants. Nycon Energy AG focuses on de-centralised energy production through combined heat and power plants for clients who require a secure source of energy and those who wish to reduce energy costs and their carbon footprint. Amadeo Brenninkmeijer is currently on the executive board of Nycon Energy AG. Amadeo Brenninkmeijer has worked in the fields of energy (Nycon Energy AG), retail (C&A Buying, C&A Netherlands), real estate (Redevco Europe Services BV), investment banking (J.P. Morgan Chase & Co, Lazard Ltd.) and retail financial services (Banco IBI S.A.). Richard Cave-Bigley

Richard has worked for much of the last decade in cleantech and energy, in both venture capital and with industry. He is currently working independently with startups, VCs and corporates. He is also an Associate of the Cleantech Group, with whom he is writing a paper on exits for venture-backed cleantech businesses and prospects for the M&A market in particular.
Richard previously worked on venture capital investments at Curzon Park Capital. In that capacity he worked closely with several start ups, in particular Lysanda (as an Investor Director) and ECOplastics. Until 2009, Richard worked on business development at BP Alternative Energy. The latter role covered projects in Abu Dhabi, California and Europe.
He has degrees in Political Economy and Humanities from the London School of Economics and Oxford University.

Nicolas Chaudron
Idinvest Partners

Nicolas Chaudron joined Idinvest Partners, formerly AGF Private Equity and an affiliate of Allianz, in 2001. Since 2006 he has been focusing on the cleantech sector and he led Idinvest Partners’ investments in several companies including Odersun (thin-film solar cells), Akol Energies (independent solar energy producer), Nenuphar (vertical axis wind turbine manufacturer), and Prudent Energy (stationary energy storage). He is a member of the European Advisory Board of the Cleantech Group and a founder of the Club Cleantech AFIC (French Private Equity Association), a platform to foster the entire cleantech ecosystem in France. Prior to that, Nicolas Chaudron worked mainly in the sectors of information technology and semiconductors, and he led Idinvest Partners’ investments in Soamai (sold to ASG), Alchimer, Median Technologies (NYSE:ALMDT), and Telemarket (sold to Système U). Between 2001 and 2005, he was also a board member of several start-ups, including Siriatech and Vizelia, two start-ups pioneering cleantech in France.
Before joining Idinvest Partners, Nicolas Chaudron started his career in venture capital at Europatweb, the Internet investment company founded by Bernard Arnault. In addition to his involvement in the operational launch of Europatweb, he participated in various investments and led the one in Webhelp (LBO exit in 2007).
Nicolas Chaudron is an alumnus of the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris, France) and of the Peking University (Beijing, China). He holds an MSc in mathematics from the University of Paris IV, an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs, and an MBA from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), where he was a Palmer Scholar.

Dominique Clarac

Dominique Clarac is co-founder and CEO of NODBOX, first mover in the market of embedded real-time simulators for the vehicle all along its usages. These innovative simulators transcribe the physical reality of the operation of the vehicle in its ecosystem, and they project all the consequences of driving actions. They provide both users, corporations, public services or local authorities with highly differentiated intelligent real-time indicators that enable new sustainable behaviors, economic and/or technological optimization of all parts of the vehicle, as well as a new marketing approach of knowledge sharing around the vehicle usage. A few key functions: certification in real-time of pollutant and CO2 emissions and of the consumption of energy; optimization of the driving and of the use of equipments; predictive maintenance.
Prior to co-founding NODBOX in 2004, she had 8 years experience in operational management of start-ups in Europe and the US, having first begun her career as sales manager in IT for 7 years at IBM and ECS. She holds an MA in Economics (business management) and a postgraduate in Marketing.

Paul Cousens

As the Global Business Development Manager for the Clean Tech Industry at Autodesk, Paul Cousens is responsible for the continued satisfaction and growth of the company’s Clean Tech customers. By partnering with Clean Tech companies and providing them with Autodesk’s leading design, visualization and simulation tools, Paul plans to accelerate the rate at which Clean Tech companies bring their products to market and transform the world around us. Paul has over 15 years of experience in the 3D design and animation industries, including roles at Silicon Graphics and Alias Systems Corporation (now a part of Autodesk). This experience allows him to better address the needs of Clean Tech companies, which require accurate visualization and animation for everything from creating initial prototypes to securing venture capital funding. An accomplished speaker, Paul has presented at numerous 3D graphics and Clean Tech events worldwide.

Adam de Sola Pool

Adam de Sola Pool is CEO of Environmental Investment Partners (EIP), a venture capital firm specializing in all stages of development, including start-up, early venture, expansion, pre-IPO’s and development capital.

Founded in 1997 in the U.S. and Poland, EIP also invests across a broad range of sectors, including helping to build efficiencies into existing Greenfield projects, consultancy work, environmental design and development of sustainable and renewable energy. The firm seeks to focus its investment in Central and Eastern Europe with a special emphasis placed on Poland, Hungary, the Slovak and Czech Republics, Bulgaria, and Romania. It prefers to invest between €½ - 5 million per company, and hold that investment from 2-7 years.

Before becoming CEO of EIP, Adam worked for Salomon Brothers in mergers & acquisitions, the Industrial Bank of Japan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he was one of the first employees, and the National Investment Fund Fortuna (Poland).

Adam is a graduate of MIT (MBA 1988), the University of Chicago (B.A. 1981) and Phillips Academy at Andover (1976).

Bruno Derungs

Bruno Derungs is a co-founder and partner of Climate Change Capital Private Equity, a €200m Clean Tech fund, investing in growth capital and buyouts. Before setting up the CPE fund, Bruno spent 10 years in the private equity sector as an investor and advisor/consultant. Bruno was a principal at SAM Private Equity, where he successfully invested in Clean Tech companies, MD of Advanced Technology Ventures a VC in Zurich and a consultant at Bain & Company where he mainly worked for the Private Equity and M&A practice group. He started his career as a telecom-engineer and headed Philips’ datacom division in Zurich. Bruno holds a masters degree in electrical engineering from the ETH and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York. He has VC and growth capital investment experience in IT & communications, biogas, biomass, waste and water, smart grids, storage, heating & cooling sector and solar. Bruno is on the board of Power Plus Communications AG, Enerqos SpA and Neura AG.

Diego Diaz Pilas

He holds an MsC in Engineering from the Polytechnical University of Madrid and an executive degree in Venture Capital from the Walter A. Haas School of Business in the University of California at Berkeley.

Stephen Edkins

Stephen comes from a long line pharmacologists, although like many of his generation he was initially lured to the City of London. An economist by training, he found the micro implications more appealing and shifted to banking analysis working on the team that plotted Banco Santander's expansion strategy through Latin America in the late 90s/early 00s.
Over time his personal research led him to focus increasingly on China's rise on the rest of the world and the strains this would pose on the world's resources. To take advantage of these trends he moved to Shanghai in 2004 to co-found Diverso.
Stephen's primary role is to identify the sectors which are ripe for technology transfer to China and build a search brief. This means assessing a number of factors including domestic demand drivers, policy changes, the stage of technological development and the internal capacity for Chinese firms to incorporate the technology.

Alois Flatz
Zouk Capital

Alois Flatz joined Zouk in 2006 and is a Partner. With 18 years experience in private equity, investment management and sustainability, Alois brings significant cleantech experience and European networks to Zouk. Alois sits on the board of the portfolio company SiC Processing.

Before joining Zouk, Alois was a Partner and Head of Research at Sustainable Asset Management in Zurich, where he co-founded the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Alois was also Managing Partner of BTS Investment Advisors, a private equity advisor in India with over $3 billion AUM, and an advisor to the Austrian Ministry of the Environment.

A published author on sustainable investment, Alois has a PhD in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, an MBA from Vienna University of Economics and studied International Management at HEC.

Dr. Juergen Friedrich

Dr. Jürgen K.-H. Friedrich, born 1955, graduated from the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich with a degree in Electrical Engineering, where he also attained his doctorate in Electrical Engineering. He joined Daimler in 1991. In 1995 he was appointed head of the research project NECAR, which included the development of the FCV’s NECAR and NEBUS. 1997 he became a member of the Fuel Cell Project of DaimlerChrysler. Starting in 2003 he was in charge of the F-Cell vehicle assembly and the worldwide operation of the F-Cell fleet vehicles, electric vehicle powertrain development and application & integration alternative drivetrains. Today he is in charge of the development of battery electric drives within Group Research and MBC Development.

Stephan Gerhager

Stephan Gerhager was CISO of E.ON Energie AG for the last five and a half years. In this role he coordinated the Informationsecurity tasks within E.ON Energie group. Besides his CISO role for E.ON and before AUDI, Stephan was dealing with attack and hacking technologies for 15 years.
During the last three years he has additionally focused on research within the Smart Grid and Smart Metering Security area, and is currently working on a doctoral thesis about “Informationsecurity within the future Smart Grid”.

Nicholas Gill

Nicholas Gill graduated from Cambridge University in 1982, following which he pursued a career in finance becoming a main board director of a London Merchant Bank and venture capital executive. More recently he has assisted companies to raise equity and grant funding and commercialise/license technologies. He joined Aeristech in 2010 and assisted the business to secure €2mn of equity and grant finance to commercialise its technology. This has extended to procuring further interest from global vehicle manufacturers and progressing discussions with corporate entities interested in working with Aeristech to commercialise its technology. Nick has a B.A. in Economics and a background of bringing parties together to make things happen.

Ziv Gottesfeld

Ziv has served as CellEra’s CEO since inception, and is directly responsible for defining and driving the the company’s go-to-market strategy and international business development activities within the high-growth renewable-energy storage and generation markets. A seasoned entrepreneur, Ziv previously founded and served as the CEO of Idioma Solutions, a developer of automated recognition and work-flow systems for the global media information market. At Idioma, he led the company from its inception to the point of break-even, and was responsible for generating multi-million dollar revenues from multinational corporations. Following Idioma Ziv was active in the launch of two additional startup companies. He holds a B.Sc. from Tel Aviv University in physics (Magna Cum Laude), and an M.Sc. from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Kimmo Irpola

Dr. Liam Kelly founded Nualight in 2004. His previous commercial LED activities include the establishment of CorkOpt Ltd. in 1994, to develop and manufacture LED-based luminaires for the machine vision industry. CorkOpt was acquired by USA-based StockerYale Inc. in 2000 and Liam continued as Managing Director until 2003. He was also a founder-director of Millimetre Wave Technology Ltd., and of Farran Technology Ltd, an imaging and communications systems manufacturer, until its acquisition by the Smiths Group plc in 2005.
Prior to his commercial interests, Liam spent twenty years in various senior roles in University College Cork including Associate Professor of Microelectronics. He has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California and is a founding director of Optronics-Ireland and the Irish National Microelectronic Research Centre.

Prior to joining Aster Capital in 2010, Cédric has been active in Venture Capital for the past 10 years. He first held long term internships in early stage VC funds like Mangrove (Luxembourg), Mileno Capital (Spain) and FCJE (France). He also worked for a year at the EIF, Europe’s leading fund of funds.
Cédric started his career at BIP (Luxembourg) where he was responsible for investing in early and later stage technology funds and made 8 co-investments with them as well as 2 direct investments. He subsequently joined DFJ Esprit (UK) as an Investment Manager where he led the fundraising efforts and deal flow sourcing activities in Cleantech and tech related companies in Europe. Thierry Lepercq, 49, is the Chairman of Solairedirect. It shows the way in its industry signing in 2011 the first large scale market-priced PPAs.

Prior to co-founding the company in 2006 he had a 20-year carrier in technology finance in US and French institutions. In 1999 he started NetsCapital, a boutique investment bank focused on information technology. In 2004 Thierry Lepercq set up Réseau Innovation Energie, a think tank with such participants as Caisse des Dépôts, Suez, EDF and Gaz de France.

Prior to establishing ICV, Jack was Vice President and General Counsel of Register.com, guiding the firm as it expanded operations into five countries and multiple business lines and successfully grew to become a leader in its market. Rolf Ljunggren

Mr. Ljunggren has a background in business and technology. He has worked with applications and supply solutions in industrial gases for thirteen years in the Nordic region as well as internationally. He has worked with management, sales and development in industrial automation, procurement and services. He holds an MSc in Metals and Metallurgy from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Frank Magnotti

Frank is Fluitec’s CEO and responsible for the growth of Fluitec. Frank holds P&L responsibility and reports to the board. Previously, he was founder of Comverge (NASDAQ: COMV) and President of the company's Clean Energy Solutions Group. Frank Magnotti began his career with Bell Labs, the research and development arm of AT&T, holding research, program management, strategic planning and general management positions during his 14-year term, culminating with the founding AT&T Bell Labs' Utility Solutions Division in 1991. In 1995, Frank Magnotti began his tenure as General Manager of Lucent Technology, Inc.'s (ALU) and was responsible for utility development, project management and profit and loss. From there, Frank Magnotti joined Comverge, a subsidiary of what is known today as Acorn Energy Group (ACFN). Today, Comverge is the leading full-service demand response firm, serving both the residential and commercial/industrial markets. Frank Magnotti has served as both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Demand Response and Advanced Metering Coalition (DRAM). He holds B.E. and M.E. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Cooper Union School of Engineering. He is also a Certified Lubricant Specialist by STLE.

As a consultant to Dow Chemical, he was effective in the spin-out, formation and first round funding of Aveso Displays, where he later joined and led business development as VP of Global Sales. At Solicore, he created and trademarked the Flexion® product line of thin, flexible Li-polymer batteries enabling first generation, two-factor security, OTP display cards for online banking and transactions. James evangelized the Flexion® product line from concept to contracts totaling millions of units per year securing global OEM and distribution partners. During his career, James has been instrumental in securing over $100 million in venture capital, private equity and government grants for emerging technology and growth companies. James has an MBA from Thunderbird, The School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from Ferris State University. Prior to joining agnion, Stephan had a diverse career with different companies around the world. Most recently he established the power plant division within the MAN – Group in Germany. The revenues during this period increased from 200 M€ to 900 M€ with a positive 8% EBIT
Before joining MAN, he was Managing Director of IMI-Norgren’s European Sales Companies headquartered in Switzerland. His task was to integrate the 15 acquired companies with own production and logistics into the Norgeren – Group and centralize the production and logistics in Germany.
In the 90’s Stephan worked for 8 years in ABB. Build up the industrial power plant business in Asia. During this time he revenues grow from 5 MUS$ to 160 MUS$. After that he became managing director of ABB in Cologne, Germany. Responsible for the automation business he restructured the company and brought it back from a 30 m€ loss to profitability within 2 years.
Stephan started his career in Tognum, German engine manufacturer in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where he started as a test engineer, became the first project manager in the company and after 2 years as assistant to the board, he built the new sales division Eastern Europe, after the opening of the iron curtain.
Stephan has a master degree in chemical engineering science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and a PhD in fluid mechanics from the same University. During this time he lectured thermodynamics and fluid mechanics

Alex Michine

Alex is a serial entrepreneur in the Life Science Industry, and he is Founder and CEO of MetGen (from 2008). He was previously Founder and CEO of Metkinen (2002-2005), a company active in development of fermentation technologies for pharmaceutical market, and Founder and CEO of Metkinen Chemistry (2005-2008), a producer of reagents for RNA and DNA synthesis. François Xavier Oliveau

François-Xavier Oliveau is heading Operations within Lucibel, his role is to support CEO Frederic Granotier in piloting the company’s strong growth.
Prior to joining Lucibel, FX was heading the division « Healthcare & Innovative Applications » of Arjowiggins. FX also served in various management and business development roles in Air Liquide, where he headed several site operations in start up phase, and Schneider Electric, having a leading role in developing new growth platforms for the company. He also served as a consultant within the Boston Consulting Group.

Anil Raj

Anil is a veteran of the telecom industry with roots tracing back to the earliest days of mobile telecom. Anil was the start-up CEO of Hutchison in India and launched the country’s very first mobile network. He started his career at Ericsson where he held a number of senior management positions in Sweden and in Asia Pacific.

As Head of Ericsson’s Smartphone Business Unit, he was responsible for launching the world’s first smartphone and first Bluetooth product. He also headed Ericsson’s companies in India and Indonesia establishing the company as the market leader. While at Ericsson, he also spearhead the merger of Ericsson’s and Sony’s handset businesses into Sony Ericsson and went on to forge the Symbian initiative where he also served as Chairman.

As an entrepreneur, Anil has successfully founded, managed and divested ventures within both infrastructure and software.

Kevin comes to Cleantech Group from McKinsey & Co., where he served large corporate clients and private equity funds on market strategy and M&A within solar, smart grid, and energy efficiency sectors. Prior to McKinsey, Kevin was an intellectual property lawyer at Keker & Van Nest LLP, a leading trial boutique, counseling clients such as Google, Comcast, and Netflix.

Ronald Rich

Ralf is CEO of Siemens Venture Capital (SVC). Before joining SVC, Ralf has built up Infineon Technologies corporate venture capital activities since 1998 and was managing director of Infineon Ventures GmbH. Robert Schrimpff

Robert principally covers German speaking deal flow and focuses on biogas, solar and energy efficiency sectors. He is based in Munich, Germany.
Robert joined the Novusmodus team from TVM Capital where he was responsible for cleantech and internet investments. In addition to a short period at Shell Renewables focusing on offshore wind investments, Robert co-founded a number of successful internet ventures.
He currently chairs the Munich Network Cleantech Group and sits on the boards of netXtra and 5stepsolar.
Robert holds a Masters degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College, London, and an MBA from INSEAD, where he co-founded the INSEAD Energy Club.

Prior to Aster, Pascal was CO2 Operations Director at Rhodia & Orbeo and Energy Purchasing Director at Rhodia Energy. He has been working since 2006 in the new fast growing carbon economy, in charge of developing worldwide CO2 offset projects in the Kyoto protocol frame for Rhodia and Orbeo. Orbeo is a pure carbon joint-venture between Rhodia and Société Générale developing market solutions to fight climate change. Pascal has over 10 years of industrial experience within the Rhodia group, where he held several positions in France and Italy such as Corporate Strategy Project Manager, Plant Manager and Quality Manager.
Pascal is an engineer graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique of Paris and holds a Master A. Sc. in Biotechnology from the Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal in Canada.

Oliver Stahl

Jean-Pascal Tranié

Jean-Pascal Tranié is an experienced manager who became a private equity investor fourteen years ago.
After graduating from Ecole Polytechnique, Jean-Pascal joined Veolia Energy during the early 90’s and held several executive positions including CEO of the German division.
He then managed Vivendi's Media and Multimedia divisions, and became CEO of the venture capital branch Viventures Partners which made 80+ investments under his supervision in the US, Europe, China and India.
In 2003, Jean-Pascal co-founded Aloe Private Equity, a private equity group focused on environment and renewable energy investments, with an emphasis on Greater China and India. Gijs van Breda Vriesman

In 1995, Gijs van Breda Vriesman joined the Royal Dutch Shell Group in the Netherlands. He has held various positions in sales, marketing and business development in Downstream.
In 2000, he moved to Bain & Company as a consultant in Benelux office working for clients in the Chemicals, Financial services and Construction industry. Bain is a strategy-consulting firm with 35 offices in 28 countries.
He rejoined the Shell Group in 2003 in Germany, where he was a number of years responsible for Shell’s road transport fuel distribution operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Since 2006, he has had various roles in Shell’s alternative energies & CO2 business. At first, he has been responsible for developing Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) projects. During this period, he coordinated together with 20 companies for the European Zero Emission Platform the European CCS Demonstration program to develop 10 – 12 zero emission power plant projects by 2015. The program is currently being implemented.
Later, he was responsible for the business development of hydrogen as a fuel for transport projects in Europe and as of January 1st 2010 he has been globally coordinating Shell’s business development in this area.
Gijs has been Chairman of Governing Board of the EUR 1 Billion public private partnership (PPP) Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking from 2007 till 2011. This PPP funds EU wide research, development and demonstration projects in hydrogen and fuel cells with the objective to let the technology breakthrough by 2015.
Gijs holds a Masters degree from the INSEAD MBA School in Fontainebleau, a Masters degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Utrecht and a minor degree in Economics from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam

Elias van Wijk is the director in charge of all research and development activities of Punch Powertrain NV, a Belgian global player in automatic transmissions and innovative clean powertrains. Punch Powertrain produces high efficient continuous variable transmissions in their Nanjing plant in China. The R&D center at the Punch headquarters in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, develops hybrid powertrains and full electric drives based on own developed technology. Elias van Wijk joined Punch Powertrain in 2011.
He started his career at Robert Bosch as engineer and served Bosch in the next 13 years as Project Manager, Director Sales and Vice President Engineering at the CVT business unit. From 2009-2011 he founded and co-owned Solarmodules.nl, a Dutch company in solar systems.
Elias holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Stéphane Villecroze

In 1994, Stéphane collaborated with Olivier Dupont, Lionel Cormier and Sophie Paturle within the fund BTP Capital as a contributor on the eco-industries’ sector.

From 1994 to 2001, he held various positions in operational services of the French Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development, in charge of construction and operation activities in the road, ports and airports sectors. He has also directed local authorities in the water sector.

In 2001, Stéphane joined the private sector as director of business units at Veolia Environnement. He took part in the “leaders’ program” of the group in 2004-2005.

Most recently, he was Vice President of Research & Operations at Library House, where he ran the Library House Research team, which discovered and collected the information about high-growth companies that underpinned that company’s data, analytical, and event services.
