Mr. Lam's highly entrepreneurial career path directing high growth projects and transitioning business opportunities for leading global corporations and automotive organizations has uniquely positioned him to lead Detroit Electric.
Before founding Detroit Electric, Mr. Lam was the former Chief Executive Officer of Lotus Engineering Group and Executive Director of the Lotus Group International for five years.
Prior to this he served as Managing Director of Apple Computer in Asia (2001-2003) where he is recognized for raising the company's presence in the region.
At Apple, Mr. Lam was able to grow the business by 150% year-on-year, making Asia one of the fastest growing regions for Apple and making Apple one of the most profitable organizations among the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to his appointment at Apple Computer, Mr. Lam distinguished himself as the youngest Regional Director of Sun Microsystems and Sun Professional Services for South Asia.
Mr. Lam has a Masters of Science degree in robotics and manufacturing from Coventry University in the UK. While Mr. Lam believes that the journey of an entrepreneur is definitely paved with challenges and opportunities, he also considers the integral ingredient to achieving success in all entrepreneurs must be focus and integrity.
