Cleantech Forum Europe 2016 will be located at the Palais du Commerce et de la Bourse.

The Palais du Commerce, which houses the “Salle de la Corbeille,” was built between 1854 and 1860 by the lyonnais architect René Dardel (1796-1871) using a second empire style.

The Palais du Commerce is the seat of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lyon Metropole, as well as the economic emblem of Lyon. It was inaugurated on August 25, 1860 by Napoleon III. Listed as an historical building in 1994, the Palais du Commerce is located in the heart of the city and offers nine restored rooms with a capacity from 15 to 400 people maximum.

12th Annual Cleantech Forum Europe Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony

The 12th annual Cleantech Forum Europe Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony will take place in the beautiful and historic Hôtel de Ville – Lyon’s City Hall. Located in the heart of Lyon, the City Hall is one of the most beautiful and historical monuments of the city. Built in the 17th century, it boasts the lavish and sumptuous decor of the Baroque period prized by the court of Napoleon III.

Hotel Accommodations

There are a number of suitable hotels convenient to our Forum venues, so we are not providing one hotel block this year. Instead, we are providing special rates at two hotels, as well as guidance on other hotels you may wish to consider, suiting different budgets and tastes.

Special Rates

We have special rates available at two hotels in Lyon – Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux Arts Hotel and Mercure Lyon Centre Plaza République Hotel – both less than a 10-minute walk away from our main Forum venue and a 15-minute walk from our dinner venue.

Please note that there is a limited supply of rooms and rates may vary once the room block is full. The €135 rate is fixed, but the hotel is not only reserved for our event, so early bookings are strongly recommended.

Alternative Hotel Options

We have prepared the following guidance on hotels that are in the right district of Lyon, for easy walking from the Forum venue and the Forum dinner, providing for a range of tastes and budgets. The price guidance below is for single occupancy and includes breakfast – they are accurate at the time of posting (mid-February).

You can make reservations directly through the hotels’ sites, or use or even Lyon’s own booking site for any of these – and more.

How to Get to Lyon

By Rail:

You are likely to arrive at Lyon Part Dieu station (Gare de Lyon-Part-Dieu), which is about a 15-minute bus or taxi to the Forum venue.

By Air:

If you arrive by air, Saint Exupery airport is 25km east of Lyon City Centre.

Taxis are expensive (unless you are sharing). We recommend the Rhône Express tramway, either taking it to the terminus (Part-Dieu, as above), or if staying in one of our recommended hotels, exit at the Vaux-en-Velin La Soie stop, switch to the Metro (Line A, direction Perrache) and get off at either Cordeliers or Bellecour (whichever is closer to your hotel).

The tram leaves every 15 minutes. You can buy your ticket online (cheapest option), or at the ticket machine in the concourse area. For more information, and to purchase your tickets in advance, visit
