2015 Cleantech Forum Europe Advisory Committee

Objective

The Forum Advisory Committee functions in an advisory capacity to help us ensure that 2015 Cleantech Forum Europe in Italy benefits from the advice, contacts, and input of ‘Italy Cleantech’ to help make the Forum a success for Cleantech Group and all its Italian stakeholders.

Giorgio Einaudi

Manager, Italian Council for Eco-Innovation, Sustainable Development Foundation

Giorgio Einaudi, a Physics graduate from the University of Pisa, is presently Manager of the Italian Council for Eco-Innovation within the Sustainable Development Foundation. In the past few years Giorgio has been advisor to the Italian Ministry of Environment, working both at a national level, through new policies and strategies on technologies and financing measures, and at an international level, through new and structured initiatives for the technological cooperation between developed and emerging economies in order to facilitate global innovation and the dissemination of low-carbon technologies. In particular he has created the Italian Cleantech Network of innovative companies of all sizes to facilitate the visibility of Italian “green economy” in the world. Following 30 years as an academic researcher in plasma physics, from July 2001 to July 2009, Giorgio was Scientific Attaché at the Embassy of Italy in Washington. In this capacity he acted to strengthen the S&T relationships between Italy and the USA mainly in the fields of energy, environment and space, being an important interlocutor with American institutions as the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, NASA, NSF, EPA and OSTP.

Filippo Giabbani

Executive Director, Toscana Promozione

Filippo Giabbani is a director of the Tuscany Promotion Agency and has over a decade of experience in policies and services to support international trade. Toscana Promozione is the Tuscan regional government agency entrusted with the promotion of trade, business opportunities and industrial co-operation between Tuscan and foreign companies. It assists foreign investors in Tuscany and supports Tuscan exporters. Filippo holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations at LUISS – Guido Carli University in Rome and an Executive MBA at Alma Graduate School – University of Bologna and specialized in foreign trade by attending the course in Foreign Trade of ICE.

Richard Youngman

Managing Director Europe & Asia, Cleantech Group

Richard Youngman is responsible for driving the growth of the Cleantech Group’s activities outside North America, especially in Europe and Israel, and Asia. He is based in Cleantech Group’s office in London. Richard has more than five years experience researching cleantech innovation, venture capital markets, and start-ups across Europe and globally. He is a regular keynote speaker at major cleantech events and is the driving force behind the annual Global Cleantech 100, a list of the world’s most promising private cleantech companies. He authors periodic reports, such as The Rise of the Corporation in Cleantech, and most recently, Looking Back, Looking Forward: the Best is Yet to Come, a report commemorating the 10th anniversary of Cleantech Forum Europe.
