DeWoskin, Ken
Dr. DeWoskin is a senior advisor to Deloitte China, and Director of Deloitte's China Research and Insight Center. An expert in Asian markets focused on cleantech, healthcare and agriculture, he also has extensive experience working in the automotive, consumer business, energy, technology, pharmaceutical, and financial services sectors. Dr. DeWoskin has been involved with China for over 45 years, and has lived and worked extensively in China and Japan.
Dr. DeWoskin has written numerous articles about China industries. He is currently completing a study of renewable energy in China, with a focus on wind projects. He writes a column for the China Economic Review and has written for the Far Eastern Economic Review. He has been quoted in The New York Times, Asian Wall Street Journal, Economist, Fortune, Business Week, The Financial Times, The Washington Post, BBC, and CNBC.
A well-known speaker and thought leader, Dr. DeWoskin has presented on China business issues at the World Economic Forum, Economist Intelligence Unit, Eurasia Group, U.S. China Business Council, China Britain Business Council, and the World Transportation Forum. He has appeared in Chinese print and broadcast media, and has presented to numerous corporate clients and business interest groups.
Dr. DeWoskin is a co-founder of the Wharton International Forum in Shanghai. He is a former professor of International Business and chairman of Asian Cultures at the University of Michigan. He has taught executive education programs at the University of Michigan, Singapore Management University, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
Dr. DeWoskin received a B.A. from Columbia College and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He has also studied at the National Taiwan University and Kyoto University, and is a fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.
