Corporations are becoming ever more active in global cleantech innovation – as investors, partners, licensees, customers, and acquirers – as documented in Cleantech Group’s June 2010 report, The Rise of the Corporation in Cleantech. In cleantech, more than any other previous wave of innovation, the coming together of small and large companies will be an absolute necessity if such innovations are to scale.
“Corporations need startups to source innovation: startups need corporations to scale innovation,” the report concluded. Large corporations bring:
- access to markets
- existing competencies and facilities to manufacture and scale
- financial muscle
It is no coincidence, therefore, that in a time when capital is very tight in the private equity and venture capital world, corporations from a diverse range of backgrounds and geographies, are becoming ever more active and influential in the cleantech innovation world. This theme is the central focus of this year’s event.
Join us for this three day executive conference to better understand this key strategic phenomenon. Hear from and meet with innovative entrepreneurs and representatives of global corporations to understand the interplay between the two and gain insight through leading case studies.
Join us in Amsterdam for our 7th annual European Cleantech Forum, the only genuinely pan-European event of its kind.
We look forward to seeing you in May 2011.
